In qDslrDashboard settings disable the 'Use Android native USB access' option before you connect the camera.

Images are always saved to the camera SD card. If you enable 'Image review after capture' or the 'Quick image review after capture' then if available the JPG image is downloaded to the controlling device and it will be displayed. In case of 'Quick image review after capture' with newer Nikon models ...

After you select the 'BULB' shutter speed and press the 'Capture' button you will get a dialog where you can set the BULB time or just press the 'Capture' button where you will present with a counter and a 'Stop' button that you can use to stop the BULB capture.

Will check this but I would say the camera is forcing the shutter speed value as qDD only sends the command to camera and the camera is the one that decides if it can change the value or not.

Can you access the qDslrDashboard settings button?
There you can lowe the UI scaling.

It will work with any router that is supported by the OpenWrt firmware and the ddserver can be compiled ( https://github.com/hubaiz/DslrDashboardServer )
You can also use with a Raspberry Pi Zero W.
Also try and look around the forum, there are samples of various routers/devices used.
