I use qDslrDashboard mostly on several Android devices and a Windows tablet as external monitors for shooting video with Nikon DSLRs. It would be fantastic if there were a way to "freeze" the current state of the settings as a new default when you load the app and connect a camera. Every t...

I've used the D300 with both USB cable and a hacked TP-Link MR3020 to iPad, Android and Windows. Haven't tried it with a Mac because I don't own one, but given that it works on the other three, I don't see why it shouldn't with a Mac.
