Re: Help - trying to download images from a D850 to the phone
Ok I figured it out. The docs are a little out of date. Once you are connected you press the picture button. Instead of card slots in the toolbar the D850 slot1 appears in the main screen Screenshot_20200419-181842_qDslrDashboard.jpg Once you click on that you see nothing right away. Screenshot_2020...

Re: Help - trying to download images from a D850 to the phone
I should have added I am avoiding the Snapbridge because the docs I have read say that it can only do focus stacking with AFS lenses. Focus stacking is the main reason I am using a remote control app and qdslrDashboard works with my AF 200mm Micro lens. Being able to DL pictures is something I want ...

For sure that is an alternative. Just trying to get qdslrdashboard to work.
I should have added I'm running Android version 9 on a Samsung A8

Help - trying to download images from a D850 to the phone
I can take pictures using qdslrdashboard and see them fine but I cannot see any images on the camera that were taken when not connected. In this screen https://dslrdashboard.info/image-gallery-button/ I do not have the first four buttons at all. That means I cannot select a card in the camera. What ...

Re: Need help with a gift (Nikon DSLRs)
A little off topic but hopefully the admins would be OK with that. Any D5xxx or D7xxx will be DX and work with your existing lenses and would be an upgrade: https://www.bhphotovideo.com/c/compare/Nikon_D5600_vs_Nikon_D7500/BHitems/1308818-REG_1333060-REG Hopefully that compare link will work - if no...

Re: Is this still the way to connect to a D850
OK good to know. It's a bit of a bummer but better than having to leave it off for the duration.
Thanks

Re: Is this still the way to connect to a D850
Nice, thanks. I found an article about the firmware that showed how to do that.
I had to turn my mobile data off through to get it to work. Is that something that can be changed?
At any rate I am up and running. I'm sure I'll have a question or two once I start using it.

Is this still the way to connect to a D850
I recently picked up a new camera and about about to start trying to figure this out. It seems that dslrdashboard can do focus stacking for my plain old AF lens. I hope I have read that correctly. At any rate is this post: https://dslrdashboard.info/phpBB3/viewtopic.php?p=6746#p6746 still the way to...
