As the error says you already have a newer version of the Visual C++ libraries so no need to install it.
Just unpack the zip file and start with one of the .cmd file or with qDslrDashboard.exe

I think with the M50 it will not work properly. Unfortunately Canon does not provide any documentation for developers

Yes I read about it.
Unfortunately this is only for Windows, so no use for qDD.
Would be much better if Sony just released the PTP protocol they use then to develop a new SDK.

I mean the 'interval timer' in qDD, as I already wrote a button with a 'stop watch' icon.

The camera interval timer can't be accessed in remote, that is up to the manufacturer.
