Check in 'Camera properties display' under image category that image destination is set to camera SD card (it is the last button - scroll).
Also check that the qDD capture button is not red before you enter LRTimelapse screen.

You can try and change the wireless channel in OpenWrt web interface.
Navigate to Network->Wifi and then press the 'Edit' button for the wireless interface.

by default the LAN and WIFI are in same network br-lan with IP address 192.168.1.1 and DHCP is enabled. So you can plugin in your network cable or connect with wireless. Did you changed the settings? Did you unchecked the 'keep settings' when you flashed OpenWrt with ddserver? If not then your previ...

You should pair your tablet wireless with the MR3040 wireless and press the network button.
If it does not find the connected camera try and long press the 'Network' button and enter the router IP address (192.168.1.1 by default) and finally press the 'Connect' button.
