It is a budget model with no documentation from Nikon and only with a limited set of PTP commands.
No live view, no movie recording, no BULB.
Does not support the event command so there is no property change notification.

You only need an USB OTG adapter for your Android device.
As I wrote in the previous post D3100 will work but it is limited as it is a budget model.

Only one camera can be displayed.
You can switch between the connected cameras with the connection screen

I implemented the OpenMoco serial and Bluetooth LE communicators (in current Qt version (5.4.1) BLE is only available on Linux but the upcoming 5.5 should bring it to Android and iOS to). Communication works with the NMX. Joystick mode works. Chaining motor parameters works. Camera module also works...
