There is a problem with your system.
The only think that I any one can recommend is to reinstall system.

Turn on MR3040, connect camera to it.
Connect to MR3040 with web browser, go to system log and check if camera is recognized.

Help! I have a Nikon D5300 and I am trying to use dslrdashboard wireless. It connects but the video button does not function. After I push the LV button several times and not sure what else :) it records, but when I look at the file, it is just one-second long. What can I do? Thanks for any suggest...

First install most recent graphic drivers.
It's usually OpenGL problem.

If you use USB than you have to install usb driver:

Also it installs driver only for USB port that camera is connected so if you use different ports you need to connect camera to each of them and install driver.

You have to select photos to download first. Only then they will be downloaded.

There is much easier way - also can be found in manual. Turn on "Image review after capture" in qDD settings and picture will be downloaded to device. If you have set camera to write RAWs and JPEGs than only JPEG will be downloaded. But if you set camera to write only RAWs that qDD will do...

Cannot be done. Those are SD cards, not an interface to access camera.

Yes, you can use NMX with qDD (maybe ever good clone of it - I found few on ebay, but there is no warranty that those will work), because qDD uses Bluetooth to connect with NMX.

Other controllers won't work because there is no implementation for them in qDD.

Change UI scale in settings.
