There is no apple version for MR3040. There is no Android, nor Windows version.
MR3040 works on Linux based system and it uses only Linux version of firmware.

When you connect MR3040 to PC with ETH cable you will see only local network. Nothing else. Connecting different devices to LAN port you won't have different connections. Canon WiFi button is for Canon WiFi, not MR3040.

Depends on what devices you use. Usually secured WiFi shouldn't be slower than not secured.

I don't know how you can use USB-OTG cable to connect samrtphone to computer. It is physically impossible because USB-OTG cable has a socket on one end not a plug which you need to plug it into computer USB port. You have wrong USB-OTG adapter.
As Hubaiz wrote - you need USB-OTG adapter for your phone. Than you connect adapter to phone, and camera to adapter.
