to be aware about announcements

HI,
I really enjoy to use this application.
So in order to be aware about any new version, I would suggest the following way:
Once a new topic is done about a new release, to add a replay about the announcement of the previous one ie 2.7 when 2.8 released.
So anybody who is notified about changes for this topic ( 2.7 ) will be aware about the announcement of the 2.8 .
Just an idea ?
