D810 doesn't connect

Hi everybody!

I already posted this. But for some reason my post is not listed. So here I post again.

I must be doing something terribly wrong.

I don't get the D810 to connect to the app. Not on iOS and not on PC.

I did:
- Upload the correct firmware to my TL-MR3040 (v2.4)
- Everything is working
- Bought and installed the iOS app (v2.5.3)
- Followed all the instructions and tutorials available (Manual of qdslrdashboard needs to be updated tbh!)
- Switched on the router in WiFi mode
- Switched on the camera and connected the router to the USB port (USB3)
- Launched the app on iOS
Nothing.. Black screen on both ends. Can't switch Live-View on

So I went to the PC
- Connected to the router through WiFi
- Launched qdslrDachboard

Nothing again.

I must be missing something obvious. I browsed the net and this forum. To no avail. The PTP mode seems to be on by default on the D810. The suggestion on this forum to run the camera in "S" mode for Single and Shutter priority didn't help either.

Please, any help, tip or even harsh "RTFM page such and such" would help.

Turn on MR3040, connect camera to it.
Connect to MR3040 with web browser, go to system log and check if camera is recognized.
