Nikon D750 and iOS - no movie recording

Hi,
I've tried this via my iphone 5s and my ipad air

Connect to camera via built in wifi (no problem)
Switch to LV (no problem)
AF (no problem)
take picture (no problem)

Start movie recording - program freezes and disconnects from camera wifi. Sometimes the wifi on the camera turns off. The program will not reconnect unless I restart the program.

I use my camera all the time for video recording and really would like this to help as a monitor...

Ideas?
