Error 70 on Canon 77D after 200 around shots

I'm using the LRTimelapse mode on qDSLRDashboard, shooting RAW+JPEG with an external intervalometer and after taking about 200 shots I got the dreadful Error 70 on my Canon 77D I had to pull out the battery and reinsert it to make the problem go away. But that interrupted my 5s interval shooting. How can I avoid this error?

The Err 70 is 'An image related malfunction has been detected.' according this: https://support.usa.canon.com/kb/index? ... &actp=LIST

Not sure why you get it, eventually try and increase your interval to 6s. Also select the smallest JPG format.

Also select the smallest JPG format.
What do you mean by that? In RAW+JPEG mode there is no way to select what size of the jpeg I want - the only option is the large jpeg + original RAW.
I reformatted the SD card and will try 6s interval next time. We'll see if it helps.
