Hi everyone.
Have the A7R2 working with QDSLR using built in remote camera app.
Setting the camera to manual mode lets you adjust parameters S/A etc
The range on the sony camera is bad though. I want to get it working with the tplink 3040.
Ive tried every USB mode setting, remote control setting etc. Just cant get it to work
Has anybody got it working with sony cameras and the TPLINK?
Ive got working great with canon and get about 120m range with the tplink. Want the same with the canon
thanks

Connection with Sony cameras is only possible with the built in wireless and the 'Smart remote control' Playmemories application ( https://www.playmemoriescameraapps.com/ ... _00-F00002 )
It will not work with TP-Link and USB.

Re: sony cameras, Remote control app and tplink3040
I have been trying to connect to my Sony A6000 using qDSLRDashboard but it no loner seems to connect. The request times out after only 5 seconds. I recently upgraded my Nexus 6 phone to Android 7, could this be the issue? Any suggestions would be welcome.

Please ignore my last post - I found the answer - but it would help to update the docs with the following:
You need to install the latest Playmemories 'Smart remote control' application: https://www.playmemoriescameraapps.com/ ... _00-F00002
After installing it you start the application on your camera
You connect your controling device (Samsung S5) wireless with the a6000 wireless
Start qDslrDashboard and press the 'Sony wireless' button
