DslrDashboard and windows 7

Post by plemingfarm »

Have installed dashboard on my Samsung Note and having great time working out the functionality with my Nikon D800.

However, also tried to use my windows 7 pc and although can connect via a direct usb connection unable to get the wifi to connect to the DDserver.

See the wifi signal on the pc but when try and connect get Searching for server DDserver and then nothing. Also try to connect to 192.168.1.1 and up pops Getting DSLR device list from DDServer at 192.168.1.1 and then nothing.

Missing something simple! But what?

Look forward to someone sorting me out!

Is your PC also connected to your home network?
Probably your home router also has the 192.168.1.1 IP address.

Bingo!

Knew it was something simple, now on to my laptop which is unable to load dslrDashboard giving me an error of
"The application was unable to start correctly (0xc000007b). Click OK to close the application."

Many thanks and keep up the good work.

Check if OpenGL 2.1 is supported ( http://www.ozone3d.net/gpu_caps_viewer/ )

Thanks for response, have checked with GPU Caps Viewer and able to use 2.1 demos perfectly. Looks as if I may to have to do a complete system reload.
