ISO Ramping for Canon 5D Mark3

I have installed the newest Version of OpenWRT on the TL-MR3040 and connected it to my Canon 5D Mk3. I'm using the latest version of qDSLR dashboard. I am using the LR Timelapse Function and the the Holy Grail Function as well for sunsets. The software ramps the shutter exposure time very well. But when it gets to the longest shutter time it does not begin to ramp up the ISO. I have the camera in manual and have disabled the 'Safety Shift' which turns off the auto ISO feature (per Gunther Wegner). Anyone have any ideas what I may be doing wrong? Thanks
