Installing dslrdashboard-compatible firmware on TP-link MR3040

Post by wittkopper »

I hope this isn't off topic. I just got the TP-Link MR3040 portable router and I downloaded qdslrdashboard on my iPhone. When I attempt to change the firmware on the router with the dslrdashboard-required firmware, I am unable to access the TP-link router by using IP 192.168.0.1; this appears to also be the IP address of my cable modem/router and I obviously don't want to change that firmware. I am following all the instructions on how to upgrade the firmware; I just can't get past this IP issue. I've done a few hours of searching on the net and I can't find anyone who's had this problem. All I can find are people that are like, "yea I upgraded the firmware on the TP-link and installed the dslrdashboard app and *boom* everything is connected and working!" If someone could help me with this issue that would be great! :)

The PC/laptop you are using for flashing should only be connected to the MR3040 with wired network connection and not to your home network.
