Hi,
I want to start using my ipad 2 with qDSLRDashboard to control my 5D3. Is there a type of cable that people use or a wifi setup you recommend?
Thanks
Best way to connect Canon 5D3 to iPad 2

With iPhones and iPads you can only use WiFi. There is no USB port on them.
For WiFi you need a wireless router with USB port (TP-Link MR3040 or Hame MPR-A2).

I have a Lightning-to-female USB cable, which allows me to connect my iPad to my 5D3 with the camera USB cable. Why shouldn't this work? I know that there is no menu option on the iPad dashboard screen.

The USB connection is not available for developers.stepheneburt wrote:I have a Lightning-to-female USB cable, which allows me to connect my iPad to my 5D3 with the camera USB cable. Why shouldn't this work? I know that there is no menu option on the iPad dashboard screen.
