Questions for RPi instalation

Post by IkaSGC »

Hello, in new here and have many questions for dslrDashboard.

First, I found an error in the manual:
"download the qDslrDashboard V3.5.5 Stretch image and unpack:
tar -xzvf ~/Downloads/qDslrDashboard_V3.5.5_RPI_Stretch.tar.gz"

I'm not a Linux expert, but with the tar command, I probably will not download it. It's a confusion for amateurs, like me.
After I downloaded and executed the rest of the manual, I continue running:

"pi@DSLR-Pi:~/qDslrDashboard_V3.5.5_RPI_Stretch $ Unable to query physical screen size, defaulting to 100 dpi.
To override, set QT_QPA_EGLFS_PHYSICAL_WIDTH and QT_QPA_EGLFS_PHYSICAL_HEIGHT (in millimeters).
qt.qpa.input: X-less xkbcommon not available, not performing key mapping
qt.bluetooth.bluez: Missing CAP_NET_ADMIN permission. Cannot determine whether a found address is of random or public type.
qml: windowRoot completed

qml: DeviceScreen completed
qml: ScreenBase completed DeviceScreen(0x2478990)
qml: error:

That is end, what now? How to connect to dashboard ?
It is clear that I have to connect Nikon (in my case 5100) via USB. But how do I connect Android Tablet for example? So I can control the nikon?
Please advise, I need to check Nikon for the NexStar SLT telescope.

You connect your DSLR with USB to your Raspberry Pi and controll with it.
Running qDslrDashboard on Raspberry Pi means that it is connected to a screen and use it to controll you DSLR.
To control with Android you will need qDslrDashboard on it and you need to connect your DSLR with the Android device either with USB or wireless.
