D4S and v0.2.7 iphone5s not work right

Hello, any one can help?

I installed the DDServer to my router,
Connect the router to Nikon D4S via USB.
Connect my iphone to the router though wifi, got an ip address like 192.168.222.166,
Then open the qDD on my iphone5s, and long press the "Network" button to set the IP address to the router gateway 192.168.222.254,

At the first time, i could connect to the DSLR, but after i take a picture, then the connection was lost, could not connect to the DSLR again even if restart my iphone.
After tried many times, it will not work again.

I also tried the v0.2.7 on my android, the latest version v0.2.8 on my iphone,
both with the same result.

Any one got a D4S, works great with qDD?

PS: it works fine with my Nikon D7000 and D90.

with the D4s

It will create a qdd_<date_time>.log file in your Android device Documents folder.
Please send me this log file.

I checked the log file that you sent me.
I see that the initialization does start and when you enable live view the connection broke.
Did you enable 'auto start live view' in qDD options? If yes can you disable it and try then?

i tried the method, disable the 'auto start live view' option, but without success.

I restart all the device, the router, D4S, the qDD APP.

For the first time, i can connect with the DSLR by setting the router's IP address in the APP, but still lost the connection by then.

If i do not set the the IP address, will never connect to the DSLR.


I suggest your development team spend more effort at the stability, especially the first connection to the wifi device.
Most newbie can't get through with it.

If possible, No more functions now, just keep it as it is, and pay more attention to make it more stable, for a "product", stable is first consideration,
which will also satisfy most people.

I found some other problems when using the 5D MARK II, 5D MARK III, will post it in another topic.

Thanks for your great effort, any other methods i could try?
If you do not get a same model DSLR, can you manage to borrow or rent or any way to get one?

I tried the 0.2.9 version on my android and iOS devices,
Seems get a little improvement, but still lost connection after the first capture.Close the liveview button does no help.

Also i tested the D4S on the laptop with windows 7 32 bit, works well with USB connection.

So it's possible to make it with the APPs on mobile devices right?
