Max Shutter Duration Only 30 Seconds???

Post by Easy Mark »

Hi all;

So I was bracketing several shots at sunset and I was in A mode on my Nikon D7000

Is the max shutter duration only 30 seconds in A mode when bracketing?

Which mode do I need if I want to bracket for longer than 30 seconds?

Thanks in advance.

30s is maximum time for every mode exept manual and Bulb time set.
Unfortunately D7000 does not allow to use Bulb via USB. For that you will need IR remote (ML-L3 or clones) or wired/wireless remote shutter release connected to remote/GPS port.

Thanks for the response!

So if I use M mode instead of A mode I can have more than 30 seconds shutter duration?

There's an expensive solution to this limit of 30 secs - buy a D810a. :D This "astro" version has features that are also great for time-lapse.

I played with one recently and am seriously tempted
