Am I doing something wrong or does video recording while in live view still not work on the d7200?
I'm using a macbook pro 13.3 retina display. I also have a windows computer and an android phone. Am i not doing something right with my settings.

i have se same problem, no video capture on an Nikon D7200.
I tried the Windows- (on Windows 7 x64 via USB) and the ARM-version (on Samsung Galaxy Note 10.1 via USB, build in WLAN) after starting the capture, nothing hapens on Windows, on ARM 1s of video is captured and then the WLAN of the camera is turned "off".
I will test the D7200 via TP-Link, but I think, that there will be no change in behavior.
On my D5200 via TP-Link all is working as expected.

It's absolutely normal that WiFi turns off if you start video recording. Read camera manual.
You can record video only while camera is connected with USB.
