TPLINK MR3040

Hi, I'm considering getting the TPLINK MR3040 so I can operate qdd on my Canon 7D Mark II and an iOS device. But I'm concerned about the TPLINK MR3040 operating in cold weather. The specs on B & H website states that it works in 59- 104 degrees F. I will need to use it during the winter months here in New York. Anyone have experience with the router in cold weather? Is there a better option for my setup to use qdd? Thank you

I've used MR3040 in -10C (14F) for about 2 hours and nothing happened but low temperatures may drastically reduce battery life.
Also low temperatures and high humidity may destroy electronics due to water condensation.

If you want to use the MR3040 in those temperatures, you'll need to encapsulate in a heating element that'll keep it warmer. Think of it as a mobile phone. When you go snowboarding, the best place to keep it is against your body so it'll keep the phone within the operating temperatures. The weak link to all of this is the battery, which is your standard lithium ion.
