Slower shutter settings than 1/30?
Slower shutter settings than 1/30?
I'm using Nikon D7000, hacked TPLink 3040 and Nexus7. Is it really so that it is not possible to use slower shutter speeds than 1/30? If so, please, is it possible to have this feature added?
Re: Slower shutter settings than 1/30?
In what exposure mode is your camera?
Slowest shutter speed on D7000 is 30 second

Re: Slower shutter settings than 1/30?
Sorry I forgot tell. Manual mode, in Shutter priority I have the full range.from 1/8000-1/30, flash and Bulb
Re: Slower shutter settings than 1/30?
Correction, sorry again. Full range of course is 1/8000-30'', which can be set with Shutter priority, but stops at 1/30 in Manual mode.

Some camera setting is preventing this.

Re: Slower shutter settings than 1/30?
hmm. can't see what setting that should be, but I may have missed one. I'm shooting still pictures with Lv and HostMode active. No movie. But interestingly enough, when I leave Lv (and also loose the picture on my Nexus) I can set the full range. If I then set longer exposure than 1/30, it switches back to 1/30 when I re-enter Lv. This same behavior I observe when a run Lv native on the camera without qDslr connected, i.e. I have to admit that it is on the camera side. Thanks for putting me on track for "something" that I not yet understand.

Check the first button in camera properties display under live view category (when live view is enabled)
Re: Slower shutter settings than 1/30?
Yes, that's the on that stops at 1/30, but also when I go into Exposure camera settings. No difference.
Re: Slower shutter settings than 1/30?
Turn off manual settings in "Movie settings" in camera menu.
With turned on you are limited by movie frame rate.

Thanks a lot! That made the difference. Now everything is working as it should.
