Is this still the way to connect to a D850

Post by Unfamiliarlight »

I recently picked up a new camera and about about to start trying to figure this out. It seems that dslrdashboard can do focus stacking for my plain old AF lens. I hope I have read that correctly.

At any rate is this post: viewtopic.php?p=6746#p6746 still the way to make the connection between camera and the app?

With the latest firmware you can enable the wireless on camera so you don't need Snapbridge to activate it.

Nice, thanks. I found an article about the firmware that showed how to do that.

I had to turn my mobile data off through to get it to work. Is that something that can be changed?

At any rate I am up and running. I'm sure I'll have a question or two once I start using it.

After the connection is made to the camera from qDD you can enable the mobile data.

OK good to know. It's a bit of a bummer but better than having to leave it off for the duration.

Thanks
