Tplink 3040 as repeater and camera controller?

Hello all,
Is it possible to setup the tp link portable router v2 with the openwrt firmware to operate as both camera controller and a wifi network repeater?
I tried controlling the nikon d810 with the app following the instructions and it worked but then I set it up to wifi reapeter at my home and it can no longer work as a camera controller.
Can you please help me out with the settings so I can do them both when I need to?
