I am able to connect to my D7200, but I dont see a record button for video. I am in live view, here are my icons on the left side
LV(red)
(camera icon)
AF
Off
(timer icon)
HOST MODE (red)
(LV with a small camera on a tripod, red)
(camera on a tripod)
I am connecting to an Android Shield tablet with marshmallow installed, what am I missing? Does video recording not work with the 7200?
D7200 No Record Button
Re: D7200 No Record Button
It works but only when camera connected with USB and switched to video mode.

Re: D7200 No Record Button
Anything on this? I posted last week that I did have it plugged in via usb. Please take a look at the icons that I listed that are being displayed when I connect via USB.
Re: D7200 No Record Button
Again: SWITCH CAMERA TO VIDEO MODE. There is a button in qDD for this or do it on camera before turning on LV.

Re: D7200 No Record Button
My camera is in video mode, still no record button. I have posted a video here so you can see exactly what I am doing
https://vid.me/90aq
You will notice that I
- turn my camera to video mode which turns on live view
- connect my camera to my tablet via usb
- connect to qdslr
- activate live view mode in the app.
no record button appears

Re: D7200 No Record Button
Now read manual and ask your self why you didn't do it earlier.
Because record button is and was there all the time.

Re: D7200 No Record Button
I have read through the manual multiple times, and If you watch the video I posted, you will notice that hitting the record icon (the icon with the camera on a tripod), does nothing. In some cases it will actually cause the app to freeze or crash. Because of this I thought I was perhaps hitting the wrong icon or there was something I was not doing correctly. I have done this process multiple times, hit the "record" button and have no video files on my sd card. I demonstrate in the beginning of the video that my camera does record video when not connected so I know this is a problem with the app or I am perhaps not doing something correctly. Please advise.

Hi,
I have same problem. The video record button does not work with my D7200.
