Canon EOS 750D freeze

I just bought dslrdashboard-App in the Google-Playstore following an recommandation of Gunther Wegners great timelaps ebook.
Unfortunately the app does not really connect to the cameras WLAN. The camera is somewhat recognized by the app (the app displays that it found EOS 750D) but does not respond when tapping on any action field. It only takes a picture whan touching the shutter field (this on with the camra symbol) but then freezes on "Capture the Image". Will there be any chance that the app works with the Canon 750D?
