So That's my problem.
I have just purchased the 5dMIV.
I've been using qdslrdashboard since it's came out on my 5DMIII.

When I connect the with my 5DMIV wireless or with the TP link, I don't see any photos and I don't get any photo preview after the shot.
I works ok on the MIII and my settings on both camera's are the same.

If I hit the 4th icon down, the one under the clock, I see image files in the androids dashboard folder and the 5DMIII folder when the 5DMIII is connected but nothing when the 5DMIV is connected.
The photos are being saved on the CF card but not on the local android folder and the dslrdashboard app is not connecting to the file folder on the camera.

Dose anyone else have this problem?
Does this app v3.5.3 work with the 5DMIV.
I though it was suppose to.


Anyone have any Ideas.

Same problem with Canon 80D, I can't get it to review the image after capture.
Works fine with Canon 70D.
Happy I have an alternative.

I connected via USB OTG on Samsung Tab S 10.5

I contacted Zoltan via email and he says other 5DMIV work with out a problem.

I tried everything I could think of.

I have 2 5DMIII's that work fine.

The MIV is new so I think I'll send it back and try another one...

I can unplug the tp router from the MIII plug it into the MIV and no preview.

Both bodies setting are the same.

Not much else to check.

Any ideas would be appreciated before I go though the return process...

Can any of you run a debug version for Windows or OSX and send me the log file?

Not sure what a debug version is.

I'm running the app on a galaxy tablet or an Ipad.

A debug version will create a log file that could help me determine the problem.

If you have an android version of the debug program, send it to me and I'll try it.

unfortunatelly, i have the same issue. i tried it the first time today with my canon 5d mk iv together with the tp-link wlan router. everything works except the picture preview.
with my 5d mk ii before, i never had any problems at all.

if this problem is still a problem, i would like to help as good as i can.

Has anyone figured out this issue? Any comment from the developer?
I have the same problem with the Wifi module of the 5dsr, everything is working but the holy grail section when no preview is showed and the ramping buttons are greyed out. It would be nice to have a solution and use this app.

I use a regular Router and an MR3020-Tplink using my own dd-wrt image. My 5Dmk4 do a connection and do the liveview as expected.
The WIFI of the Mark4 is not the fastest one and needs more time to update the preview picture. It's not a feature that able to use for macro purposes.
The USB link is quite more reliable and even faster. I had installed the latest update n the 5dmk4.
