LRTimelapse doesn't work with 5DsR either

This is to report same problem I 've seen floating around regarding incompatibility with some Canon bodies connected through wifi (similar topics exist for 7dii and 6d).
I bought the app from apple store and insalled on an iPhone 6. Connection is through W-E1 module, no ext. intervalometer mounted.
I can use live view and everything seems to be fine. However when launching LRTimelapse right button the preview screen is black and it just doesn't work: I can take single pictures but the preview doesn't show up and the holy grail button is greyed out.
At the moment I have requested a refund hoping that an update would solve the issue as now it is unusable. This is with 5DsR but seems to plague any other body using W-E1 module (5Ds and 7dii) and some report same error with 6D and 5Div.
