App stops when opening the preferences

Hi guys,
i like the qDslrDashboard app and used it frequently. But since some days the app stops when I try to open the preferences (the Symbol with the hammer and the screwdriver). It doesn't matter if my D7100 is plugged in or not. Taking pictures works, but I would like to change some settings.
System:
Samsung A3 10F
qDslrDashboard V3.5.3
Android 7.0
Kernel 3.10.61-11350514
