Hi,
I need your app for strictly one certain application - use it as a field monitor while streaming live via HDMI out of a Nikon d5100. Problem is, as soon as I activate LV in dslrdashboard the HDMI out goes dark Is there a way around this, so I can have the camera pushing out via HDMI while I can monitor LV as well on an android device? That'll be awesome!
Thanks!
HDMI out goes dark
Re: HDMI out goes dark
This is a Nikon camera limitation that only Nikon could change.

That's what I suspected, thanks for confirming! Still, do you know of a Nikon camera that doesn't have this limitation? Does Canon have it? Thank you!
Re: HDMI out goes dark
On D500 live view will be display on HDMI while remote controlling it.
Think the previous models can't do this but can't confirm.
Also think the Canon has the same behavior.

Uhm so there is no way to use this app via usb, to video record and use it as a live monitor with a nikon ?
Re: HDMI out goes dark
search for device control in d7000, d7100, d7200 manuals
HDMI
To use live view when the camera is connected to an HDMI-CEC device, select Off for HDMI > Device control in the setup menu
