MacBook Pro 15 and Canon 5D Mark IV crashes

After about 1'000-1'200 captures (4 sec interval, i.e., after 40-50 min in Holy Grail mode) qDslrDashboard crashes.

Mac:
MacBook Pro 15-inch, 2016
2.9 GHz Intel Core i7
16 GB RAM 2133 Mhz LPDDR3
Intel HD Graphics 530 1536 MB
macOS High Sierra 10.13.3

Camera:
Canon 5D Mark IV
Firmware 1.0.4

Connection: USB (as wireless connection does not work; Canon 5D Mark IV is detected and tries to connect but does not continue)

qDslrDashboard: V3.5.5

Do you use an external interval timer or you use the qDslrdashboard one?
What is your slowest shutter speed?

I use an external inteval timer. Slowest shutter speed is 2 sec.

Try increasing the interval to 5-6 sec.
