Hi, I've just been told about this program by a friend of mine this morning.
It looks great, unfortunately my Pentax K3 seems to be not supported.

Is it likely that I'll ever be able to use qDslrDashboard with it?

As far I know it will not work.
Unfortunately there is no documentation for developers from Pentax.
Maybe if they release some or if I get my hands on a Pentax I could add.

I checked the SDK and unfortunately I can't use it, maybe if Ricoh releases the documentation for the PTP protocol they use.
