Seems kinda Shady

I have several (8) tablets from different companies that I would have liked to have used DSLR Dashboard on. However, no matter what tablet I use, I cannot download it because it says "Device not compatible with this version."

Now then, it specifically says that you need android ver. 4.x, all mine are 4.4+. And yes, I get this with my Galaxy Tab 7 as well.

I think its kind of shady that the developer would set this app to do this on the play store.

I WANT to use my 3 DigiLand DL700F tablets for the 3 Nikons I have.

Not sure what is shady, it is not the developer that does not allow installing the application buy Google Play. Probably none of your devices meat some of the features that the application requires.
Btw the DslrDashboard available on Google Play is old and not maintained anymore.
There is a new cross platform qDslrDashboard application available here: http://dslrdashboard.info/downloads/
