Re: Connecting iPad to Nikon D800: port#?
Uh, never mind. I figured it out. I was supposed to press the Network button not the Nikon button to connect. Until today I have been using qDD only with the D750, connecting through its internal WiFi. Since discovering my error I've connected to the D800 from iPhone, iPad, and about to try connecti...

Connecting iPad to Nikon D800: port#?
I successfully installed and configured OpenWRT on a new MR3040, now trying to connect to D800 from iPad. WiFi connection established between MR3040 and iPad, then lauch qDD and try to connect to Nikon. Nikon IP address window pops up asking for IP address and Port number. By default the IP address ...

Re: TP-Link MR3040 firmware install with MacBook
Thanks GonzoG. Your suggestions got me over the hump. OpenWRT installed and configured on the MR3040. On to the next step, see if iPad and D800 talk to each other (and make photographs together).

TP-Link MR3040 firmware install with MacBook
I'm using a MacBook Pro to install OpenWrt on a TP-Link MR3040 V2, but so far without success, following web page instructions and video tutorial. The MacBook has no network connections except Ethernet to MR3040. Several attempts to access MR3040 OpenWrt web interface by entering http://192.168.0.1 ...

Re: Night Vision
Sky Safari Pro is a good example of "night vision" red screen implementation. The only problem with in-app solutions is the moment you leave the app (can easily happen by accident) you get flashed by a bright blinding screen. A "hardware" solution is Sirius Astro Products' "...

save & recall camera settings
The ability to save and recall camera settings would be a great convenience. Even in my limited use of qDD (past 48 hours) I've experienced a few false starts when some camera setting I had not noticed was not appropriate for the task at hand. Most cameras have very limited native configuration save...

Re: I need a Focus Stack tutorial, Where?
This was a big help. I finally succeeded after a couple more failed attempts (Nikon D750 via WiFi from MacBook Pro). The shot delay is essential (> 2 sec). Making sure only JPEGs are uploaded, also important. Finally, after setting start (near) and end (far) focus points, setting direction toward in...

D750, iOS v0.3.2 video fails
I installed iOS v0.3.2 on iPad yesterday and have been experimenting with D750. Software changes are well ahead of documentation so beyond a certain point I'm navigating without charts. Tried this sequence: Connect to camera, enable live view, enable host mode, enable video live view which displays ...
