Yes, I finally solved it myself. In settings > Folder for local images......
/storage/emulated/0/DCIM/Tether
/Tether was the folder I created beforehand.

JPEG storage on external SD Card
My Android tablet (SM-T810) is fitted with an external SD Card which is formatted and visible using File Explorer and via USB link to PC. Any idea how I get data files (JPEGS) stored on extSdCard instead of on Device? I tried changing storage directory to /storage/extSdCard instead of default, but n...

Image Gallery Filter JPG Only
Either: Image Gallery filter option set to "JPG" as default at startup.
Or, Image Gallery Filter option setting on startup set in General Settings dialogue.
Or, "Do not download RAW" option in General Settings when JPG+RAW set in Camera.

Both D700 mand D810 worked immediately, which then induced me to read dslrDashboard User Manual so as to learn how to manage the UI. Transf...

Re: Nikon D810 with Android tablet
I presume the Camera back, the PC Monitor, and the Tablet screen devices each has it's own brightness adjustment. Am I misunderstanding the issue?

Re: Nikon D810 with Android tablet
@ Cathy, Thanks. That sounds brilliant! If it works as well as my D700 + WT-4 combo then perhaps I will do it with the D700 too!

Nikon D810 with Android tablet
Is is possible to create wireless tethered connection between Nikon D810 and Android tablet by using standard MR3040 with it's USB port direct wired to D810 USB-3 port? I see this solution being potentially far cheaper than WT-5+UT-1 solution that Nikon has designed into the D810 camera firmware.
