Re: live view (image zoom in the middle of the picture/crosshair))
Thanks a lot. Anyway, the quality of the built-in zoom of the cameras is also not great, since is also a digital zoom, however, being able to zoom in the middle and keep the whole picture in the frame would be great. thanks I suggest to use a 7" or 8" field.monitor via the HDMI port. I us...

I couldn´t find one. But the 7" LG seems also to have USB-host, i´m not sure - but it´s accu
isn´t as capable as with the 8" . . and the price-difference isn´t too big i mean.

Re: Recommended cheap Android devices
Google searches notwithstanding, I too have a question about what good, cheap Android devices are capable of running qDSLRDashboard. I don't plan to leave my device outside, although I can't preclude the idea. Still though it makes sense to me to have an extra device instead of relying on my main m...

Re: Recommended cheap Android devices
Hi, I was wondering if there are any recommended devices, and their price ranges. Obviously shoots battery life is important, a degree of ruggedness, and not being too expensive since they`ll be left outside. Any suggestions? Thanks Hi! First of all: what would you call "cheap"? How long ...

Re: USB "root"
Yes, this means Android but Android is made different for each device and that Android 3+ generally supports USB-OTG doesn't meat that a version for a specific device will support it. That´s one of the reasons i decided back in 1985 to use Macs instead of Windows-PCs - and still do . . I...

Re: USB "root"
Yes it can be a workaround but the are 2 things that tablet must meet: 1. hardware must support USB-OTG - Galaxy Tab 4 7" SM-T230 does not. I know - that´s why i asked about a way to work around this issue. 2. system must support USB-OTG - depends on system you install after rooting. If "...

USB "root"
Hi! In the documentation i found THIS sentence: "Use ‘root’ for USB access – Android only. If the Android device is ‘rooted’ the application can try and use it during the USB connection. Can help on some Android devices that have not full USB Host function." I have a 7" Gala...

Re: tethered Nikon D800 . . .
So it works as it should work. Your tablet does not have USB-host. It´s supposed to have. Galaxy SM-T210, Kernel-Vers.: 3.4.5-4081557 Android 4.4.2 Where can i find an information about which devices have USB-host? The infos i found so far are very confusing . . qDSLRDashboard via the TP-Link runs...
