Re: Nikon WiFi capturing to a sd card
It works with out any problems after turning screen off (with power button or after inactivity) on my Nexus 5, Desire Z (CM11) and Chinese tablet - Ainol Elf II. Check how WiFi behaves after screen off (by default it is also turned off), power saving options (some phones have "force sleep"...

Turn off manual settings in "Movie settings" in camera menu.

Re: Wifi or USB for action photography?
Try changing to 12bit lossy compressed RAWs. Should speed up more.
I use SanDisk Extreme Plus (80MB/s read, 60MB/s write)
Transcend SDs are slower then the speed written on them.

Re: LRTimelapse storing all images and playback in realtime
Playback is not possible.
You need to render a video to do this and there is no computing power to do this in real time on mobile devices.
One 12Mpix JPEG is about 4MB - 25x4x8(bits) gives you 800Mbps...

Re: Wifi or USB for action photography?
1. There is no difference in speed between direct USB connection and MR3040. WU-1 might be bit slower but only when downloading photos or lit bigger lag in LV. 2. You won't find 10m USB cable... And even if it won't work. USB is designed to work with maximum length of 3m. If longer you need amplifie...

Re: D750
It is not possible to record movies and to use built-in Wi-Fi.
This is clearly stated in camera user manual - starting movie recording turns off Wi-Fi.

And it will never work. D610 has no exposure simulation in photo mode.
Switch to movie mode and it will work.
