Aperture can be added from camera, focal length will only work on Nikon DSLR.

Will check however the D3100 is a budget model without a documentation for developers from Nikon and with a very limited set of PTP commands.

You must leave one MR3040 as it is (access point with the default IP addredd - 192.168.1.1 - or whatever IP you use) You must set-up your second MR3040 as a client of the first one. You should first change the LAN interface IP to 192.168.1.2 Then you should set the wifi to be client of the first MR3...
