Re: DslrDashboard stops working at some point, no errors

I've testes D300s and there is no problem with 5 second gap between shots. Camera set to RAW+JPEG basic small, CF Sandisk Extreme 60MB/s. I think it is due to your camera settings or slow CF card that you need longer time. And for startrails I don't use LRTimelapse at all. Just set correct exposure...

Re: DslrDashboard stops working at some point, no errors

Because there is no shutter cable I would assume? Bulb over USB alone is an issue on older models?

Re: DslrDashboard stops working at some point, no errors

1. BUlb will not work with D7000 as it does not have the required command for that (Nikon added that feature from D7100) 2. with a fast SD card 30sec shutter with 35sec interval should work. My D7100 has no problem with that. (Check if you maybe have NR enabled) D700, not D7000. Long exposure noise...

Re: DslrDashboard stops working at some point, no errors

Zoltan, I'm still working through things with the D700. 1) I can't get bulb to work with that camera. I set a desired bulb shutter time like 1 minute, press the capture button, and nothing happens. Any ideas? 2) I took a timelapse with 30 second shutter and 35 second interval. I figured that would b...

Re: DslrDashboard stops working at some point, no errors

No, I had a Nikon 14-24mm f/2.8 and 24-70mm f/2.8, both G type lenses. But the D700 has issues with Live View, it was the first gen to have it from Nikon. Promote Control and Helicon Focus won't work with it for example. I suspect that is part of the issue I have with DslrDashboard crashing sometime...

Re: DslrDashboard stops working at some point, no errors

I'm going out of my mind over here, LOL! I just ran the D810 for 2 hrs without any issues, no crashes or stops. They were shorter shutter speeds during the day though. Maybe last night, before sunrise, I had a WiFi dropout? I have no idea. It didn't get to quite 2 hours and stopped with no errors. T...

Re: NPF Rule instead of the 600 Rules

20.98 seconds sounds correct for a 6D and 14mm. I get 17.45 on my 36MP D810 for a 14mm. The Rule 600 calculator in DslrDashboard says 42.86 for the "Rule 600" and 4.80 for the "real slowest shutter" however. Most folks I know use a Rule 500, but I subtract 5 to 10 seconds from th...

Re: DslrDashboard stops working at some point, no errors

Does your iOS device maybe going into deep sleep? Did you used the 'Keep screen on' option? Yes, I discovered that months ago with iOS. I need to disable all power management and screen locks and leave the screen powered on, so that's a huge limitation with iOS and long night shoots. Another reason...

DslrDashboard stops working at some point, no errors

A friend of mine and I have tried DslrDashboard (the last 5 or 6 versions) over several months with several iOS and Android tablets with TPLink routers. We've had mostly nothing but failures and frustration. I was able to get one successful sunset ramp on my D700 with an iPad 3 with 0.2.8, but it wa...
