Did you try to run it with qDslrDashboard_Directx.cmd and qDslrDashboard_OpenGL.cmd? Both give the same error?

What camera do you use?
On Nikon cameras after you activate the live view the camera controls are disabled by the camera (execption are the new mirorrless cameras)

Did you try running it on RPI 4 with a monitor attached to the HDMI port or only with VNC?

Dont know about the GL.iNet device, not sure if it is supported by OpenWrt.
For ddserver you are better with a Raspberry Pi Zero W (it needs external power).

Sony cameras can be connected with USB but there is no documentation for the protocol they use, that's why it isn't implemented.
