after reading the comments and after testing the qdsr for Android and iOS, the Android version is more stable than the iOS version, especially for the CANON cameras. The DSLRs are more and more complex and perhaps it would be better just to split the program for Canon and for Nikon cameras. The SDKs are getting more and more different. Just my 2ct

Actually no SDK is used but qDD has it own PTP classes.
The only problem regarding Canon is that no documentation is available for them.
Only Nikon releases documentation for developers after a new model is released.
Lately Sony also releases documentation for their mirrorles models with built in wireless.
Building a separate application for Canon and Nikon would mean writing the same stuff 2 times. The Canon and Nikon related code is already separated.
