Nikon WiFi capturing to a sd card

When I lock my phone on normal Interval shooting the interval stops and only starts again when I turn the screen on. I am use a Samsung Galaxy S5 Android 5.0 with a Nikon 5300. Is that possible to implement, it is working in version 2.2. It would be very helpful to extend Battery life when the screen is off. Thanks for that very useful tool.

It works with out any problems after turning screen off (with power button or after inactivity) on my Nexus 5, Desire Z (CM11) and Chinese tablet - Ainol Elf II.

Check how WiFi behaves after screen off (by default it is also turned off),
power saving options (some phones have "force sleep" option).

Any chance i can get a version for android that auto download pictures to sd card while the app is connected and in the background?
