One more question regarding Z7:

I‘m an iPhone user and sometimes a bit worried about the battery life of both, phone and Z7, and want to use an USB connection instead of WiFi. So, I plan to buy a small Android tablet and an USB cable. Is there anything particular I need to consider? I checked on Amazon and found the following: Anything wrong with this choice?

Thanks for your feedback!

You need an USB OTG adapter, not just an ordinary USB-C to micro USB cable ( https://www.amazon.com/s?k=USB+OTG+type ... _sb_noss_2 ).
Check that the tablet has the USB host function.

Thanks Zoltan for your reply and the advice.
I waited for the Nokia 6.2 to be released and a good offer which I found on Black Friday. So, I’d like to update the thread in case someone is looking for a USB-C cable. I use the phone with the following cable: https://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B01GGKYT7M

I can confirm that this combination works well with the Nikon Z7. So, whoever needs a USB-C cable for the Z7, this one works. I also used a USB-C cable delivered with a power bank and it worked as well, so maybe USB-C is less demanding in terms of OTG.
I just noticed that the RAW pictures of the Z7 can't be displayed in the app. I see the list of pictures and the filenames (so the recognition of the files itself works), but the pictures are just black (on the camera screen, they are fine). Would be nice to see the pictures after capture to quickly check them without the need to use the camera display. Any ideas?

Oh, and one completely different question: As mentioned in my first post, I'm an iPhone user and I bought the app on iOS as well. After Apple removed the app again, I can't install it on my iPad (don't see the app in purchases) and I'm worried that after buying a new phone or resetting the old one, I won't be able to restore my purchase there as well.

If you already purchased by following this guide: https://support.apple.com/en-ca/HT201272
you should be able to install it again.
If this does not work then you should contact Apple.

Ok, thanks. I need to contact Apple then, as I can‘t see the app anywhere mentioned in the link.
Any hints regarding the picture view? Is it because the RAW format of the Z7 is not recognized?

You have this black image problem on Android?
Did you maybe changed the image path?
Do you see the image is downloaded from the camera before it is displayed?

I made a topic, but while it's held for review I thought I'd ask here: Does anyone know if DSLR Dashboard is compatabile with the Nikon Z5, as well? It's very similar to the Z 6/7 so I figure there'd be good odds, but I don't see it listed.
