Hi. I know these are old cameras but there are many still being used. Could you consider implementation of video rec using the app? Also playback of recorded video file would be nice.
Currently we can see lv but have to disconnect to record.

The Nikon D5200 supports video recording and it is already implemented. You must switch to movie live view mode. Note that video recording will not work while connected with the camera built in wireless, this is a camera limitation.

The D3200 is a budget model and it does not have the required remote command to activate movie recording. You would need to write to Nikon to implement it.

So wu-1a will not support remote video rec with d5200 but tethered usb mode will support it. Is that what you are saying?

With WU-1a should work, it will not work with cameras that have built in wireless.
The Z6 and Z7 are exception.

Sorry I posted in the wrong thread.
Does AF during video work for D5200 ? So I can start with subject in one spot and refocus if the subject moves, all this while video is being recorded. Would work great for rack focus or for moving subject.

Focus change works while recording movie.
I would suggest to download the free desktop versions (Windows, Linux, macOS) and try it out to see how it works.
