I have tried several attempts with router in cooperation with qDdb. Suggests by the (old) notes on WR 3040 and WR3020 on the website. 3040 is only expensive to get, the 3020-V3 is not easy to set up (I didn't make it). So I tried the "GL.iNet GL-MT300N-V2". Pre-installed with openWRT! That was the reason for my decision. Even better, this small router (approx. 20 €) already has a plug-in with the ddserver! Just activate it takes about 2 minutes. Ready! Good description here: (https://docs.gl-inet.com/en/3/app/qdslrdashboard/). Then just log the tablet, notebook etc. onto the wifi router. In the qDdb Wifi menu, long press the button) and enter the IP from the router. (Unfortunately qDdb keeps forgetting the input, so this has to be repeated with every start - a bit annoying). Running. Tested with D300, Win10, Linux and qDdb V3.5.9 64bit.
