0.3.4 on Raspbian view via vnc?

Post by gapperns »

What I'd like to do if possible is to view qDD via some form of vnc connection so that I could "walk away" (e.g. more than 30 metres) from a running LRTimelapse session and have the time-lapse continue even when not connected.

My current working environment is via an iAstrohub RP3 image using qddserver to the iPhone version of qDD, which works, except the phone must maintain the connection to the qddserver by staying within WI-FI range and being the active app.

After following this thread on 0.3.4 on Raspbian http://dslrdashboard.info/phpBB3/viewto ... f=5&t=1433 I'm able to see/use qDD while attached to an HDMI TV (on a separate latest 2016-03-18-raspbian-jessie img). However, the qDD HDMI output is not visible via vnc. I installed x11vnc using these instructions https://www.raspberrypi.org/forums/view ... hp?t=12356, naively thinking that if I were able to share the same x11 output as the boot HDMI session that I would see the qDD output.

Is there a QT5 driver configuration that would enable this?

Alternately is a portable touch sensitive HDMI screen the best option https://www.amazon.ca/Capacitive-Interf ... +raspberry to run independently?

Thanks
