Unexpected connection failure

Post by ramos.miguel1977 »

Hi,

I have been using this great app successfully on my iPad with a router TPLink MR3040 since last year but today after more than a month without using it the app does not connects with my Canon 7D. The router is ON as well is the camera, the ipad is signed with the router´s network but qslrdashboard does not connects to the camera.
Please find attached the System Log info from the router:

I´m using version 2.7

Do u have any idea what may be going on?

Just turn on the router and connect the DSLR to it with USB and turn it on.
After that please check the Status->System log, you should have something like this there:

Code: Select all

Apr 20 08:57:11 Arduino kern.info kernel: [6474001.760000] usb 1-1.1.4.3: new high-speed USB device number 110 using ehci-platform

Apr 20 08:57:11 Arduino kern.info kernel: [6474001.900000] usb 1-1.1.4.3: New USB device strings: Mfr=1, Product=2, SerialNumber=0
Apr 20 08:57:11 Arduino kern.info kernel: [6474001.900000] usb 1-1.1.4.3: Product: Canon Digital Camera
Apr 20 08:57:11 Arduino kern.info kernel: [6474001.910000] usb 1-1.1.4.3: Manufacturer: Canon Inc.
Do you have it?

Hi,

Thanks for your advice. Unfortunately I do not have that "info" displayed. What I have is what you can find in my previous message.

First do not use USB hub.
Second do not start qDD.
Just connect camera (turned on) to router and check log.

In previous post I cannot find any sign that camera was connected to router.

If there still won't be any information about connected camera check if USB LED on router lits up after connecting camera - if yes, check if camera is visible on any computer after connecting with this cable. If no, check different USB cable.
