Long press AF turns red but pushing the shutter button will not trigger the camera. Button does change to yellow briefly. Long push the shutter button and it will turn red but affects nothing. I've tried changing all of the various AF settings within in qDSLR and within my camera menu. Nothing appears to be affecting the issue.
Camera Menu:
AF-S and AF-C set to release.
Focus tracking with lock-on -- tried all settings including OFF
Live view/movie AF -- tried all settings
High ISO NR off
AE/AF Locked and also tried as AF-On
Tried changing Mode from M to P
Tried S, Cl and Ch, and Q
qDSLR:
AF after focus point change (both on and off)
Host mode
AF not working, Nikon D7000
Re: AF not working, Nikon D7000
If you long press the AF button qDslrDashboard will try to autofocus before each capture.
If the autofocus command fails (the camera can't focus) the capture command will be not performed.

Re: AF not working, Nikon D7000
Is the failure in the camera not responding to the command from qDSLR at all or should I be able to see the camera attempting to achieve focus (ie, focus ring moves) but it ultimately fails.
I've also tried alternative lenses and can experience the same problem or it will take the photo without anything in focus.

'If the autofocus command fails' - was referring to the camera not able to focus.
Do you perform the autofocus in live view?
What autofocus mode is selected (AF-S, AF-C, AF-A, MF) ?
