Standard folder is not the sd card

When I instal dslrdashboard on my Huawei P9 and also on my Samsung Tablet the standard folder is set to the internal memory and not to the sd card, when I chanche that to the right folder on the sdcard the pictures are not saved there, what do I do wrong ?
